The Society expressed support for expenditure on access problems in Fleet as this is considered an investment in the future of the town which is needed. |

As the new parish council planning committee meetings are established, the Society is keeping a watchful eye on the applications to be considered at each meeting and is attending these meetings where appropriate to give the Society’s views. |

The parish elections results for Pondtail and Blackwater and Hawley were declared today. The councillors in other wards had previously been elected as uncontested seats. 27 May 2010 - High Court sides with SoS on Pyestock Application |
Anti Pyestock Warehouse group SLPAT have been unsucessful in asking the High Court to overturn a ruling by the Secretary of State to allow the distribution scheme on the former Pyestock site. Click here for SPLAT summary of the ruling |

...to grant planning permission at Pyestock dismissed by the High Courts. The judge concluded, in essence, that the Secretary of State’s decision to go against the Planning Inspector (who recommended refusal of the planning application), was essentially a matter of planning judgement, rather than an error of law. |

FCCS joins the Civic Voice the new national charity for the civic movement. |

The evening opened with presentations by Elizabeth Brightwell on the Fleet Town Centre Project and Cllr Richard Appleton on the Hart Local Development Framework, followed by the business of the evening. Meeting well attended by some 40 members. |

Society represented by John Pearson. Topics discussed included repair of pot holes and improvements to Fleet station car park, re-signalling works and what benefits to rail travellers had been achieved, and the need for longer platforms at Winchfield and Hook stations |

Society represented by Stuart Bates and John Pearson. Topics under discussion included Local Children's Partnerships, the Hart Local Development Framework, the Older Person's Wellbeing Strategy event that took place in February, and restructuring of the HLSP. |
